I'm a bit hamstrung because I decided "this is going to be a historical story!" and I really, really want a nice rural world with swamps and sinkholes and no modern roads to muck up the immersion. However, finding something with the right atmosphere is a little difficult. I then realized I could use a custom world. Also, Twinbrook has modern roads, modern roads means ice cream trucks, and the last thing I want is for my vampire's daughter to go running out to buy a brain freeze and accidentally burn herself alive, among other "it's 1906, they probably don't HAVE nice asphalt-paved roads in that part of Simisouri, and certainly not a carpool to the Doopeas Corporate Towers!" problems. And I feel like Twinbrook is a bit.fussy with the routing, which would mean plopping a lot down might be complicated, etc. However, I realized Twinbrook would need A LOT of shifting before I could place, say, my vampire's haunted mansion. I chose Twinbrook since I know it's swampy, foggy, and overall very "is that a zombie behind that cypress knee, or is it just Tay Bayless" if you take a decent whack at it with CC.
