The other way to die in the game is to step into the swamp water, which instantly results in the player drowning, as Shrek watches and again comments "Hey now, you're a rock-star".
If Shrek catches them, they will let out a scream (Donkey's scream from the movie) as Shrek kills them, telling them "Hey now, you're a rock-star". The player is tasked with finding eight onions while avoiding Shrek. In an alternate universe, Shrek turned evil, killed his former friend Donkey by trapping him in his home and setting it on fire, and started capturing people who entered his swamp, either killing them or imprisoning them in his "punishment barrel", where he had them tortured. Shrek is the sole antagonist of Swamp Simulator, a horror game in the style of the Slender games.
